Employee Training

Periodic Inspections IEC 60079-17
Periodic inspections of installations every three years (“Detailed”), in accordance with IEC 60079-17. Following the inspection, a comprehensive defect report is provided, along with recommendations for corrective actions if required.
Routine Inspection Planning
Development of a routine inspection plan in accordance with IEC 60079-17, including Visual and Close examinations to detect and address issues early. Consistent execution of these inspections significantly reduces the risk of failures during Detailed inspections and minimizes unnecessary facility downtime.
Installation Tests
IEC 60079-14
Commissioning tests for new facilities in accordance with IEC 60079-14, conducted prior to initial operation. These tests assess the suitability of equipment for hazardous areas, verify installation integrity, and include a Detailed inspection. What is the IEC 60079 standard?
IEC 60079 is an internationally recognized standard focused on the safe use of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres. It outlines detailed requirements for selecting, installing, and maintaining such equipment to prevent ignition of surrounding flammable substances. To comply with IEC 60079, facilities must perform comprehensive inspections (Detailed) at least once every three years and ongoing preventive maintenance inspections (Visual/Close) to monitor the condition and safety of equipment. Adhering to this standard enhances worker safety, protects the environment, and minimizes costly downtime and operational risks in hazardous environments.

We offer a comprehensive 3-day training course in collaboration with the Afeka Academic College of Engineering in Tel Aviv, designed to equip workers with the skills and knowledge required to work safely in explosive environments. The course includes a comprehensive introduction to the IEC 60079 standard and explanations of the types of protection available. Participants who successfully pass the final exam will receive a certificate from TÜV Saarland, Germany.
